Ohio Thoroughbred Owners & Breeders (OTBO)
A non-profit association formed to promote the thoroughbred horse industry in
Ohio and
improve the breed and the the quality of thoroughbred racing in the state.
Ohio Harness Horsemen's Association (OHHA)
A non-profit association formed in 1953 that works to preserve, protect and promote
the interests of its members, harness racing owners, trainers, drivers and
breeders. It offers insurance services and information, and represents
horsemen in negotiations with commercial harness tracks.
Horsemen's Benevolent & Protective Assoc. (HBPA)
As the Ohio
division of a national organization, the HBPA represents thoroughbred
horsemen and provides insurance services, disseminates information, promotes
the exchange of ideas, provides a voice for members and promotes the
presevation of live racing in the state.
United States Trotting Association (USTA)
The USTA is a national trade association based in Columbus. It formulates racing rules;
maintains and disseminates racing information; serves as the breed's
registry; endeavors to ensure harness racing integrity; and promotes the
sport.
ARCI On-Line Owner's License Application
Makes available to race horse owners printable forms for multi-state license
applications.
Little Brown Jug
Web site for the Little Brown Jug and other Grand Circuit races, as well as
the Ohio Breeders Championships, amateur events and other early and late
closing races held annually at the Delaware County Fair.
Blooded Horse Sales Company
Annually conducts four sales of harness horses and associated racing
equipment at the Delaware County Fair.
Ohio Selected Jug Sale
Annually conducts a three-day sale of harness yearlings.
